এনআরসিঃ বাদ পড়াদের তালিকা ২২ জুন
NRC: List of excluded persons to be declared on 22 June

৩০ মেঃ এনআরসি থেকে যাদের নাম বাদ পড়ছে, তাদের একটি তালিকা আগামী ২২ জুন প্রকাশিত হবে। গত শুনানির দিনে সুপ্রিম কোর্ট সেই তালিকা তৈরির জন্য ১৫ জুন পর্যন্ত সময় বেঁধে দিয়েছিল। বৃহস্পতিবার এনআরসি স্টেট কো-অর্ডিনেটর প্রতীক হাজেলা সর্বোচ্চ আদালতের কাছে আরও সাতদিন সময় চেয়ে আবেদন জানান। প্রধান বিচারপতি রঞ্জন গগৈর নেতৃত্বাধীন বেঞ্চ তাঁর সেই আর্জি মঞ্জুর করেছে। ফলে এ বার ওই তালিকা বেরোবে আগামী ২২ জুন।

তাদের অবশ্য পুনরাবেদনের সুযোগ দেওয়া হবে। ফের খতিয়ে দেখা হবে সমস্ত নথিপত্র। সে জন্যই চূড়ান্ত এনআরসি প্রকাশের আগে বাদ পড়াদের তালিকা প্রকাশ হতে চলেছে। খসড়ায় নাম থাকলেও পরবর্তী সময়ে যাদের নথিপত্র নিয়ে সন্দেহ দেখা দিয়েছে বা যাদের বিরুদ্ধে নথি জালিয়াতির অভিযোগ মিলেছে, মূলত তাদেরই তালিকা সেটি। এর মধ্যে যারা ভারতীয়ত্ব প্রমাণে সমর্থ হবেন, এনআরসি-তে তাদের নাম অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে। সব মিলিয়ে চূড়ান্ত এনআরসি প্রকাশিত হবে আগামী ৩১ জুলাই।

May 30: A list comprising names of those who have been excluded from National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be declared on 22 June. During the last hearing on NRC issue, the Supreme court has directed to prepare a list of those excluded from NRC by 15 June. On Thursday, NRC State Coordinator Prateek Hajela appealed before the apex court to provide him another week’s time for publication of this list. The bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi approved the appeal made by Hajela and directed to publish the exclusion list by 22 June.

However, those whose names will feature in the excluded list will get another opportunity for claims. In such cases, the documents of the concerned persons will be re-examined. In fact, this list will mainly comprise of those persons whose names were there in the first draft but deleted from the subsequent final draft and also those against whom allegation has been received as regards forgery of documents. Those who will be able to prove their Indian citizenship will find a place in the final NRC. The final NRC will be published on 31 July, 2019.
