No active case: Hailakandi becomes 1st Covid-free district in Barak Valley

Feb. 24: Ultimately, Hailakandi became the first district in Barak Valley to become Covid-free. On Wednesday, Hailakandi registered no new COVID-19 case. The district has now no active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 207 RAT tests and no RT-PCR tests were done. No patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 9,271 (1st, 2nd & 3rd wave).

As of now, a total of 5,742 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Tuesday. Till date, 55 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 247 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

Karimganj registered no fresh COVID case on Wednesday. The district has currently 04 active COVID cases, while no patients were discharged on Wednesday. 184 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that no person was detected positive in Karimganj on Tuesday.
