Night curfew imposed in East Khasi Hills

April 13: On Monday, Meghalaya registered 26 new COVID-19 cases, out of which, 18 cases were detected from East Khasi hills. At present, there are 193 active cases.

In view of the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases and in partial modification to the earlier order, “Night Curfew will hereafter be imposed between 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM daily in East Khasi Hills District. All shops, establishments, restaurants and bars are directed to shut down by 9:00 PM, or as per timing issued vide existing order, whichever is earlier.” The order was served by the District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills District, Shillong on 12 April.
