NFR Extends Operation of Six Pairs of Special Trains to Enhance Passenger Convenience

way2barak, 29th July : To ensure uninterrupted travel and facilitate passengers affected by the prevailing flood situation in parts of Assam, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to extend the operation of six pairs of special trains (12 train services) over the Tinsukia, Lumding and Rangiya Divisions. These include train nos. 05831/05832 (Mariani – Rangiya – Mariani), train no. 05911/05912 (Tinsukia – Bhojo – New Tinsukia), train no. 05913/05914 (New Tinsukia – Moranhat – Tinsukia), train no. 05932/05931 (Dibrugarh – Kolkata – Dibrugarh), train no. 07641/07642 (Lumding – Mariani – Lumding) and train no. 07643/07644 (Lumding – Mariani – Lumding). All these special trains will continue to operate with their existing schedule, timings, composition and stoppages to cater to the additional passenger requirements arising from waterlogging and the disruption of normal train services.

The services of train no. 05831 (Mariani – Rangiya) and train no. 05832 (Rangiya – Mariani) Special Special have been extended for one additional trip each on 31st July, 2026. Similarly, train no. 05911 (Tinsukia – Bhojo) Special and train no. 05912 (Bhojo – New Tinsukia) Special have been extended for two additional trips each on 30th & 31st July, 2026. Accordingly, train no. 05913 (New Tinsukia – Moranhat) Special and train no. 05914 (Moranhat – Tinsukia) Special have been extended for three additional trips each from 29th July to 31st July, 2026.

Further, Train No. 07641 (Lumding – Mariani) Special and train no. 07642 (Mariani – Lumding) Special have been extended for three additional trips each from 29th July to 31st July, 2026. In addition, Train No. 07643 (Lumding – Mariani) Special will operate for two additional trips on 30th & 31st July, 2026. In return direction, train no. 07644 (Mariani – Lumding) Special will operate for two additional trips on 31st July & 1st August, 2026.

To facilitate long distance passengers, train no. 05932 (Dibrugarh – Kolkata) Special and train no. 05931 (Kolkata – Dibrugarh) Special have also been extended for five additional trips each. Train No. 05932 will run every Saturday from 1st August to 29th August, 2026, while train no. 05931 will run every Monday from 3rd August to 31st August, 2026.

In addition, the scheduled timings of train no. 05931 (Kolkata – Dibrugarh) Special at Rangiya railway station have been revised with effect from 3rd August, 2026. The train will now arrive at Rangiya at 20:30 hours and depart from Rangiya at 20:40 hours.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and social media platforms of N. F. Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
