NF Railway doing restoration work of tracks in various parts of Dima Hasao
May 19: Torrential rainfall followed by multiple landslides has played havoc in railway tracks along various parts of Dima Hasao in Assam. Stations like New Haflong, Ditokcherra, Damchara, Jatinga suffered the most. NF Railway is now aimed at early restoration of the line connecting Tripura and Cachar hill district of Assam,” tweeted NF Railway. However, the visuals of the damage indicate that it will take couple of days to restore the movement of train services as the railway tracks at many places were just washed away.
