‘National Health Fest’ for Divyangjan organised in Assam

April 7: The ‘National Health Fest’ for Divyangjan organised by Special Olympics Bharat, Social Welfare Dept and Health & Family Welfare Department, under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative was organised in Assam. National Health Fest is a platform to check health status & register COVID vaccination for Divyangjan participating in Special Olympics.

The event, being organised across the country, will witness congregation of 75,000 Divyang children. Participating in this event, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Our government has always been sensitive towards the empowerment of Divyangjans. On this occasion, I call upon the parents of Divyang children below six years with hearing difficulty to take the benefits of Government of Assam’s special scheme ‘Sneha Sparsha’ to get free Cochlear implant for their kids. My gratitude to Special Olympics Bharat for giving me the opportunity to spend some quality time with these pure souls holding immense potential. I convey my best wishes to the organisers.”
