Lions Club of Silchar Ananta distribute bedrolls among flood victims of Silchar

July 6: The devastating flood which swept across Silchar a few days ago made people suffer to the extreme. Many who lived in low-lying areas of the town in the ground floor had become just a pauper. People have even lost their mattress, pillows etc. and are forced to sleep on the floor. The bedroll just like grocery items and drinking water has become a necessary item for many after the flood water washed away everything.

Keeping this aspect in mind, Lions Club of Silchar Ananta distribute bedrolls, which comprised of pillows and bedsheets among 52 families of Ashram Road, Silchar on Wednesday. The project was sponsored by Meera Gupta, mother of Lions Ananta member Amitabh Gupta and Madhupriya Gupta. These were co-sponsored by Babul Nath from Mumbai and Deboleena Dey from Kolkata. A total of 09 members of Lions Club of Silchar Ananta were present during the occasion.
