Leo Central along with Red Cross observes World AIDS Day, awareness programme held

Dec. 2: Leo Club of Silchar Central  in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Silchar observed World AIDS Day on 1 December at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. The programme was formally inaugurated by Lion Babul Hore and graced by members of Society Biresh Banerjee, Niloy Paul, Lion Dilip Kumar Kar and Dipak Shome. Lion Babul Hore, in his inaugural address appreciated the timely efforts of Leo Club Club of Silchar Central. Other members present also spoke about the significance of the day and the need of such awareness programme in the future.

Around 60 nursing students, teaching and non- teaching staff of Indian Red Cross Society, Silchar attended the programme. The session was delineated by Leo advisor Lion Subhash C Choudhury. He by means of of Power Point Presentation elaborated the various aspects like symptoms, causes, treatment and remedies of HIV/AIDS. Leo Appayan Modak, project chairman and Leo Nilanjan Chakraborty offered the formal vote of thanks and highly appreciated Dipak Shome and the management of Indian Red Cross Society for their support and coordination.
