International Conference ‘AMRIT–2025’ Concludes at Assam University
আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলন ‘অমৃত–২০২৫’ সম্পন্ন

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৭ ডিসেম্বর : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স বিভাগের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত হল তিনদিনের তৃতীয় আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলন ‘অমৃত-২০২৫’। শিলচর ও ডিফু ক্যাম্পাসে একযোগে আয়োজিত এই সম্মেলনে দেশ-বিদেশের খ্যাতনামা শিক্ষাবিদ, গবেষক, বিজ্ঞানী ও শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। সম্মেলনের লক্ষ্য ছিল আধুনিক ও উদীয়মান প্রযুক্তিতে গবেষণা বিনিময়, আন্তঃবিষয়ক সহযোগিতা গড়ে তোলা এবং ভবিষ্যৎ প্রযুক্তির দিশা নির্ধারণ।

গত ২২ ডিসেম্বর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিপিনচন্দ্র পাল মিলনায়তনে আয়োজিত উদ্বোধনী অধিবেশনে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন অস্ট্রেলিয়ার মেলবোর্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ক্লাউড ও ডিস্ট্রিবিউটেড কম্পিউটিং বিশেষজ্ঞ অধ্যাপক রাজকুমার বুয়া। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আইআইএসসি বেঙ্গালুরুর অধ্যাপক চকলিঙ্গম অনন্তনারায়ণন। অনুষ্ঠানে পৌরোহিত্য করেন স্কুল অব ফিজিক্যাল সায়েন্সের ডিন অধ্যাপিকা করবী দত্তচৌধুরী। স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন আয়োজক কমিটির সচিব ড. বিশ্বরঞ্জন রায়।

‘অমৃত–২০২৫’র জেনারেল চেয়ার অধ্যাপক প্রদীপ্ত দাস জানান, ১৯২টি গবেষণা প্রবন্ধের মধ্যে কঠোর পর্যালোচনার মাধ্যমে মাত্র ৪৩টি প্রবন্ধ নির্বাচিত হয়েছে, যার গ্রহণযোগ্যতার হার ২২.৪ শতাংশ—আন্তর্জাতিক মানের সমতুল্য। প্রধান অতিথির ভাষণে অধ্যাপক রাজকুমার বুয়া কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা, বিশেষত কোয়ান্টাম ও ক্লাউড কম্পিউটিংয়ে আরও গবেষণার প্রয়োজনীয়তার ওপর জোর দেন।

সম্মেলনে পাঁচটি মূল বক্তৃতা, প্লেনারি টক, আমন্ত্রিত বক্তৃতা, অফলাইন ও অনলাইন গবেষণা প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপনা এবং পোস্টার সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বক্তারা ক্লাউড ও কোয়ান্টাম কম্পিউটিং, আইওটি নিরাপত্তা, ৬জি নেটওয়ার্ক, তথ্য সুরক্ষা ও শিক্ষায় ল্যাঙ্গুয়েজ মডেলসহ বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ে আলোচনা করেন।

২৪ ডিসেম্বর সম্মেলনের দ্বিতীয় পর্ব অনুষ্ঠিত হয় আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ডিফু ক্যাম্পাসের সিভি রমন কনফারেন্স হলে। অনুষ্ঠানের উদ্বোধন করেন সহ-উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক শিবাশিস বিশ্বাস। উপস্থিত ছিলেন পূর্ব কার্বি আংলং জেলার অতিরিক্ত জেলাশাসক গীতালি দুয়ারা, কেএএসি-র উচ্চশিক্ষা বিভাগের অতিরিক্ত পরিচালক বীরেন সিং ইংতি প্রমুখ। অধ্যাপক প্রদীপ্ত দাস তাঁর বক্তব্যে কার্বি ও ডিমাসা ভাষা উন্নয়নে এনএলপি গবেষণার সম্ভাবনার কথা উল্লেখ করেন। উল্লেখ্য, পরবর্তী অমৃত সম্মেলন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে মঙ্গলদৈ জেলার আসাম স্কিল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে।

Way2barak, December 27 : The three-day third International Conference ‘AMRIT–2025’ was organised by the Department of Computer Science, Assam University. Held simultaneously at the Silchar and Diphu campuses, the conference witnessed participation from renowned academicians, researchers, scientists, and students from India and abroad. The objective of the conference was to facilitate the exchange of research in modern and emerging technologies, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and chart directions for future technologies.

The inaugural session, held on December 22 at the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium of the university, featured Prof. Rajkumar Buyya, an expert in Cloud and Distributed Computing from the University of Melbourne, Australia, as the Chief Guest. Prof. Chakalingam Anantharayanan from IISc Bengaluru attended as the Guest of Honour. The session was chaired by Prof. Karabi Dutta Choudhury, Dean, School of Physical Sciences. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Bishwaranjan Roy, Secretary of the Organising Committee.

General Chair of AMRIT–2025, Prof. Pradipta Das, informed that out of 192 research papers submitted, only 43 were selected after a rigorous review process, resulting in an acceptance rate of 22.4 percent—comparable to international standards. In his address, Prof. Rajkumar Buyya emphasised the need for further research in artificial intelligence, particularly in quantum and cloud computing.

The conference featured five keynote lectures, plenary talks, invited talks, offline and online paper presentations, and poster sessions. Speakers deliberated on several important themes including cloud and quantum computing, IoT security, 6G networks, data security, and the use of language models in education.

The second phase of the conference was held on December 24 at the CV Raman Conference Hall, Assam University Diphu Campus. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Shivashis Biswas, Pro Vice-Chancellor. Among others present were Geetali Duara, Additional Deputy Commissioner of East Karbi Anglong district, and Biren Singh Ingti, Additional Director, Higher Education Department, KAAC. In his address, Prof. Pradipta Das highlighted the potential of NLP research for the development of Karbi and Dimasa languages. It was also announced that the next AMRIT conference will be held at Assam Skill University in Mangaldai district.
