321 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 372 discharged & 6 deaths registered

Sept. 5: On Sunday, out of 36,729 tests, 321 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,91,980. The positivity rate in the state is 0.87 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 84 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 06 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,699. The recovery rate is 97.97 percent.

It needs mention here that on Saturday, 542 persons tested positive in Assam and 10 deaths were registered.

On Sunday, 372 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,79,935 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam.  At present, there are 5,056 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 06 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 06 deceased, 03 of them are from Jorhat; 01 each from Charaideo, Kamrup Rural & Karbi Anglong. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,699.
