1348 tests +ve in Assam on Wednesday including 104 in Cachar, tally rises to 36,295

July 29: On Wednesday, 1348 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from across Assam. With this, the state tally has now reached 36,295, out of which, 9582 are active cases. Four more persons died in Assam taking the death tally to 92. In Cachar, 104 more persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1348 new #COVID cases detected in Assam out of 18941 tests done in last 24 hrs. The positivity rate is at a low of 7.11% Kamrup (M) – 348, Kamrup (R)- 127.”
