Drive against illicit liquor, fermented wash continues in Hailakandi

Sept.21: The drive against illicit liquor & fermented wash has been going on with impunity in Hailakandi district. In raids carried out by Excise department personnel with help from the local police at Chandipur and Marganpur tea estates on Monday, 300 litres of fermented wash, 25 litres of Illicit distilled liquor, 30 kgs of molasses and four sets of distilling apparatus were seized and destroyed. No arrest has been made during the raids.
