Restaurant association meets CM Sarma, proposes to allow restaurants to remain open whole night

Aug. 25: Members of the All Assam Restaurant Association met the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in Dispur on Wednesday regarding restaurant related issues in Assam.

President chef Atul Lahakar, Vice-President Ranbir Kar, GS Mrs Manjita kalita and Mr. Romio were present in the meeting. They discussed several issues related to the restaurant industry, they proposed several positive measures to revive the present scenario. One of the points raised by them was to keep the restaurants open whole night.

The Chief Minister gave the members of the association a patient hearing. The delegation was hopeful and said that probably after the Durga puja, he might take a decision on that.
