Govt to hold online exam on ‘Cow Science’ on 25 Feb
Jan. 6: Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog (RKA), the government body set up for cow welfare has announced that it will hold a countrywide online examination on ‘gau vigyan’ (cow science) on 25 February, 2021. Primary, secondary and college-level students, as well as the general public, can appear for the ‘Kamdhenu Gau-Vignyan Prachar-Prasar Examination’. The aim of the exam is to spread awareness among people about the indigenous cow and its qualities and benefits.
Rashtriya Kamdhenu Ayog (RKA) which comes under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, will be conducting the exam every year. This was said by RKA Chairman, Vallabhbhai Kathiria. The RKA has also reportedly come up with study material on cow science. The questions in the exam will be objective-type (with 100 multi-choice questions), the syllabus will be shared on the RKA website and the results will be declared immediately and certificates granted. The exam will be held in 12 regional languages apart from Hindi and English.
The Rashtriya Kamdhenu Ayog (RKA) under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying was set up by the Centre in February 2019, and is aimed at “conservation, protection and development of cows and their progeny”.
