Education Minister formally begins free distribution of school textbooks for 2022-23

Feb. 17: State Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu organized free textbook distribution programme for the students of the state schools from the central store of Assam state textbook formation and publication limited for the academic year 2022-23. Trucks were loaded in which textbooks were dispatched to different districts of the state.

Assam State Textbook Production and Publication Corporation Limited is an undertaking of the Government of Assam was established on 30th March 1972 under the Indian Companies Act, 1956. The Corporation is under the administrative control of the Department of Education (Elementary), Government of Assam.
