Dr Manoj Kr Paul becomes Executive President of Cachar District, International Human Rights Council
July 11: Dr. Manoj Kumar Paul has been appointed as the Executive President of Cachar District International Human Rights Council. In a letter addressed to Dr. Manoj Kumar Paul by Kamal Raj Chetry, National General Secretary of the Council, it was stated that, “In view of your social performance in your local area and involvement in Human Rights Activities and by observing your credentials, International Human Rights Council appoints you for the post of Executive President of Cachar district with immediate effect.”
It needs mention here that Dr. Manoj Kumar Paul is the Principal of Women;s College, Silchar since January 2012. Prior to that, Dr. Paul was the Head, Department of Economics of Radhamadhab College, Silchar. He acquired his MA in Economics from Visva Bharati University, West Bengal and then did his Ph.D from Assam University, Silchar.
Dr. Paul is associated with a number of social activities. He is the President of Cachar District Committee of Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum (BVVBDF). He is also the Member of Federation of Blood Donors Organisation, India (FBDOI). Dr. Paul is the Vice President of Assam College Principals’ Council (ACPC), Assam University Zone. He is also an Executive Committee Member of renowned socio-cultural organisation ‘Rupam’. His appointment to the post of Executive President of Cachar District Committee of International Human Rights Council has been applauded from various sections of the society.
