126 tests Covid +ve in Karimganj on Wednesday, 16 discharged & 3 deaths registered

May 26: Karimganj registered 126 fresh COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Of the 126 active cases detected on Wednesday, 117 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test and 09 under RT-PCR. The district has currently 842 active COVID-19 cases, while 16 patients have been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Wednesday. 2,822 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 111 positive cases were detected in Karimganj on Tuesday.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours witnessed demise of 03 Covid postive patients from Karimganj district. Out of the three deceased, 01 of them, Sandhya Rani Das (74) from Bazaricherra in Karimganj district got admitted at SMCH on 21 May. She died at 12.30 AM on 26 May. Another patient died during the day at Karimganj Civil Hospital, whereas the 3rd one died on the way to the district civil hospital.
