With 2 more Covid +ve case, day’s total in Cachar rises to 4 on 25 October

Active cases 61 in Cachar, 9 discharged on Monday

Oct. 25: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at late night. As per the latest data, 02 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 04 persons were found positive in the district on 25 October. Earlier, at 5 PM, it was informed that 02 persons were found positive. Also, 09 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 61. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 05 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,995 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 02 persons were found positive, whereas 02 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,239 whereas during this phase, 19,962 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 61 active patients:

16 of them are admitted at SMCH
02 at MH
05 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
38 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 24 October to 5 PM on 25 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 25 October, there were 17 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 03 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
