876 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Saturday, 02 deaths registered

April 17: On Saturday, out of 43,268 tests, 876 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,23,816. The positivity rate in the state is 2.02 percent. At present, there are 4,794 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 360 cases during the day.

On Saturday, 149 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,16,546, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 96.75%.

Further, during the day, 02 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro and kamrup Rural. The death tally of the state stands at 1,129.
