Dead body of Circle Officer cremated with full state honour at Irongmara

way2barak, Oct.3: In a tragic incident, the dead body of the Circle Officer Sanju Das, who lost his life in a boat capsize reached Silchar on Monday. His body was brought in an ambulance from Dhubri. On reaching Silchar, his body was taken to the Circuit House, where administrative officials of Cachar paid their last tribute to their deceased colleague Sanju Das.

From there, his dead body was taken to his house at Irongmara in Dholai constituency of Cachar. His last rites was performed there amidst gun salute by the police. Deputy Commissioner Cachar, Rohan Kr Jha paid due homage to Late Sanju Das, ALRS who left for his heavenly abode in a tragic boat capsize in Dhubri, when his body arrived in his home district Cachar for last rites.

Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister for Transport, Excise and Fishery, Govt. of Assam; Dr. Rajdeep Roy, M.P, Silchar; Kausik Rai, MLA, Lakhipur; and Numal Mahatta, Superintendent of Police, Cachar and others placed wreaths and paid floral tributes to the departed soul.
