22 found Covid+ve in Karimganj & 21 Hailakandi on Saturday

Jan. 8: On Saturday, Hailakandi registered 21 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether has 55 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 658 RAT tests and 129 RT-PCR tests were done. 04 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,996 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,514 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 12 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Friday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 2,658 persons were vaccinated on Saturday.

There was a sharp rise in the number of Covid patients in Karimganj district. Karimganj registered 22 fresh COVID case on Saturday. The district has currently 93 active COVID cases, while no patients were discharged on Saturday. 713 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 18 persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Friday.
