Bharatmala project : DC Cachar holds meeting with NHIDCL
June 24: A meeting was held in connection with finalization of alignment option under Bharatmala project at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Cachar on Wednesday. In the meeting presided over by Deputy Commissioner Cachar, Keerthi Jalli, representative of National Highway & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) elaborated the proposed project through a power point presentation.
During the discussion, MLA Borkhola Misbahul Islam Laskar suggested the representative of NHIDCL to take utmost care in executing the project and see its completion within the stipulated time. The MLA also suggested that the Additional Deputy Commissioner in-charge (Revenue) and Assistant Settlement Officer should prepare an actual field report with proper justification for effected villages which fall under his assembly constituency area in Borkhola.
MLA Katigorah- Khalil Uddin Majumder has also suggested to prepare actual field report with proper justification for effected villages which fall under his assembly constituency. While sharing his reaction, MLA Silchar Dipyan Chakraborty also suggested the representative of NHIDCL to take care so that the proper implementation of the proposed project is done within the stipulated time. He also suggested Additional Deputy Commissioner incharge revenue circle and Assistant Settlement officer to prepare actual field report with proper justification for the affected villages which fall under his assembly constituency of Silchar.
Deputy commissioner Cachar Keerthi Jalli urged upon the Additional Deputy Commissioner incharge revenue Cachar Silchar, circle officer, Assistant Settlement officer, Sadar, Katigorah, Divisional Forest Officer, Cachar Division Silchar and the representative of NHIDCL to prepare a joint verification report for implementing the said project within the stipulated time frame.
DC Jalli instructed the NHIDCL official to prepare video recording from zero point Srikona daily bazar to ending point Barak bridge near Malia through aerial drone survey of the projected four lane road to overcome any further dispute. However, she suggested in the meeting to conduct another meeting in the next week for giving approval to the proposed DPR if no objection is noticed from any side.
District Development Commissioner Cachar Rajib Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sadhan Sarkar, Circle officer Silchar Sadar Biswajit Saikia, DFO Cachar Saunnydeo Chowdhury, District Agriculture officer L.I Singh also attended the meeting.
