DC Cachar condoles the death of Senior Assistant, Mridul Kanti Chakraborty, meets bereaved family

Condolence meeting also held at the office of DC Cachar

June 15: The officers and the staff of Deputy Commissioner’s amalgamated establishment, Cachar assembled in a condolence meeting at the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner Cachar on Tuesday. Deep grief was expressed on the the sudden demise of Mridul Kanti Chakraborty, who was a Senior Assistant of the office of the Settlement Officer, Cachar and Hailakandi District, Silchar. Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli, Chief Executive Officer DDMA- J.R Lalsim, Circle Officer Silchar- Biswajit Saikia, DDC Rajiv Roy, ADC Deepak Jidung, ADC JK Rajbongshi and others were also present in the condolence meeting.

Condolence Meeting at the office of DC Cachar

The officers and staff of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Cachar observed one minute silence and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family.

Later during the day, DC Jalli also visited the residence of Late Mridul Kanti Chakraborty and met with his bereaved family. In a condolence message, the Deputy Commissioner wrote, “I, express my deepest condolences on the sad and untimely demise of Mridul Kanti Chakraborty. He was a very sincere and hard working employee and gentle and carried out works with sincerity, throughout his entire service life. He also maintained a very good relationship with all seniors and juniors, alike. He had rendered his services as Senior Assistant, Training Cell during Elections for a very long time with utmost sincerity and maintained a very cordial relation with all his superiors, juniors as well as the Master Trainers and others. He was vastly experienced. which helped a great deal in timely culmination of the emergent nature of works of the Training Cell and he would be remembered for long. With his passing away for heavenly abode, the District Administration has lost an able and kind team member. I pray to the Almighty that his departed soul may rest in peace.”

Further, as it was his ‘Sraddha ceremony’, the members of the Training & Awareness Cell, Parliamentary & Assembly Elections, Cachar also went to the residence of Late Chakraborty and expressed deep condolence to the bereaved family. Present there were Sandeep Chakraborty, SB Dutta Chaoudhury (Bapi), Arunabha Bhattacharjee, Sudarshan Gupta, Soumitra Nath, Gongesh Bhattacharjee, Kishore Kumar Deb, Amrit Mazumder, Rajkumar among others.

In a tragic incident, Mridul Kanti Chakraborty (58) breathed his last on 5 June, 2021 due to cardiac arrest. He was the Senior Assistant of Settlement Office, Cachar, Silchar. An inhabitant of Lane No 1, Link Road, Silchar, Mridul Kanti Chakraborty was a popular name in the Election Cell of Cachar district.
