Amid Covid-19 spike, ICSE Board Exams 2021 of Class X, XII postponed

April 16: After CBSE, now ICSE deferred the board exams of classes 10 and 12 in view of a rise in COVID-19 cases across the country. “The Covid situation will be closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE & ISC 2021 Examinations will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the board examinations will be taken by the 1st week of June 2021,” CISCE said in a statement.

While Class 12 exams will be conducted at a later stage, Class 10 students will get an option to either appear in offline exams later or get evaluated on basis of fair and unbiased criteria to be developed by the board. The exams were scheduled to be held from May 4, 2021.

The board said the Covid situation will be “closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE & ISC 2021 Examinations will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the board examinations will be taken by the 1st week of June 2021.”
