Combined Competitive (Main) Exam postponed by APSC due to floods
July 17: Due to the prevailing situation created by the unprecedented flood in the state, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has postponed the Combined Competitive (Main) Exam 2018, which was to begin from 22 July, 2019. In a Press Notice issued by the secretary of the APSC, the decision to postpone the examination was communicated.
In the Press Notice, it was stated that, “due to the prevailing situation created by the unprecedented flood, there is likelihood that a section of the candidates would be deprived of the opportunity of sitting in the examination which will render the competition incomplete and not fair. Under the circumstances and considering all other aspects like availability of venues and examinations conducted by other entities like the UPSC, the commission has decided to presently postpone the ensuing CC (Main) Examination, 2018 slated to be held from 22/7/2019.”
However, the examination dates scheduled from August 2, 2019 to August 9, 2019 will remain same. The detailed programme will be announced soon and candidates will be issued fresh e-admission certificate.
