CM Sonowal virtually inaugurates Mini Secretariat & 20 developments projects of Barak Valley
Feb. 26: As the Election Commission of India (ECI) prepared to announce dates for elections to the legislative assemblies of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry on Friday evening, so the 2-day Barak Valley tour of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was cancelled at the last moment. He has virtually inaugurated the Mini Secretariat at Barak Valley. The Mini Secretariat will start functioning now from a temporary building.
Further, the CM also virtually inaugurated 20 development projects for the three districts of Barak Valley. Inaugurating the same, the Chief Minister said that his government is committed to the ideology of “Sabka Saath Sabka Bikash” as propagated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The CM inaugurated these projects virtually from Guwahati.
The virtual inauguration ceremony was witnessed digitally from the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar. The historic moment was witnessed from the DC’s conference hall by Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli, MP Silchar Dr. Rajdeep Roy, Deputy Speaker Aminul Haque Laskar, DIG Southern Range- Dilip Kr. Dey and Commissioner of Barak Valley Division Manish Thakur.
Speaking to way2barak, Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy said, “It is indeed a historic moment. I take this opportunity to express heartfelt thanks to the honourable Chief Minister for inaugurating the Mini Secretariat virtually. This would definitely go a long way in the development of Barak Valley. I further thank Sarbananda Sonowal ji for inaugurating 20 development projects for all the 3 districts of Barak Valley.”
