1st Arthik Swadhinata Kendra inaugurated by Keerthi Jalli in Hailakandi

March 8: Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi inaugurated the 1st centre of “Arthik Swadhinata Kendra” (ASK) at Karicherra Dariaghat Gaon Panchayat office in the district. It is often seen that villagers need to travel very far to reach bank thus making it difficult to maintain active accounts.

CSPs/BCs don’t get to meet people on household visits either as they may have left for farms or otherwise. It is also seen that villagers need to visit GP office often for Awas Yojana work, Job cards. Thus a one stop solution is piloted in Hailakandi with CSPs of various banks seated in ASK centres at each GP office for enrollment into Jan Dhan Yojana, PMJJY, PMSBY, Atal Pension Yojana, KCC, for withdrawal of amount up-to 50000/-, for deposit of money into accounts etc.

It is in this connection that the maiden centre of ASK was started at Karicherra Dariaghat GP office by DC Hailakandi in presence of LDM Manna Kumar Das and others. Other ASK centres will also be started shortly. In her speech, DC Keerthi Jalli requested the citizens to make full use of this facility.
