Cachar boys selected to represent India in Asian Championship in jump rope competition

way2barak, April 11: in a significant feat three boys from the cachar district have won gold medals in the 20th senior national jump rope championship and all India jump rope championship which was held in Indore of Madhya Pradesh last week .

It is to be mentioned here that both the competitions were held at Shree Sandipani International School, Hansakhedi, Chandrawariganj, Indore of Madhya Pradesh from March 31st to April 2nd, 2024.
A team from the cachar district also participated in the competitions. Amongst participants from Cachar,
Pranabjyoti Biswas in the above 20 years double dutch single freestyle(3*0-75 sec) category topped with 2 golds where Dhananjoy Das has also bagged 2 golds in the same catagory and other boy Joydeep Das has won Gold and 1 silver medal in the senior catagory as well. It is informed that all three participants from cachar have been selected to represent India in the Asian Championship 2024 which is to be held in Kawasaki City, Japan in July.
It is noteworthy to mention that Madhya Pradesh became the overall champion in the 20th Senior National Jump Rope Championship and All India Jump Rope Championship and also got second place in the Demo Cup. Tamil Nadu was second and Delhi was third. In the demo cup, Chhattisgarh was first, Madhya Pradesh secured second position and Delhi was third. More than 250 players from 10 states participated in the said competition.
