Cachar Admin sets dedicated bus service for election staff ahead of Dholai Bye-Election
way2barak, November 11 – In a strategic move to streamline transportation for the upcoming Dholai bye-election, Cachar district administration has organized a dedicated bus service to ensure timely and efficient travel for election staff. This initiative, announced today, aims to facilitate smooth transit for personnel from various locations across the district to the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Silchar.
Starting November 12, a fleet of ten buses from the AS-709 series has been allocated for this purpose, each following a meticulously planned route. These buses will cover key pickup points, including Jalalpur, Kumbarigram, Sonai, and others, to accommodate election workers across the region. Each bus will be managed by designated drivers and personnel, ensuring coordination and safety.
Bus 1 will embark from Jalalpur, passing through Gumrah and Kalain, under the guidance of driver Dilowar Husen, while Bus 2, driven by Hifzur Rahman, will serve the Karaikandi and Cheragi Bazaar route. Meanwhile, Bus 3, operated by Saju Kumar Das, will depart from Borkhola Police Station, navigating Doloo and Capital Point en route to ISBT.
Additional buses will also operate from prominent locations such as Kumbarigram, Lakhipur, Binnakandi, and Kachudaram, each overseen by assigned officials. Contact details of these officials have been shared with staff to further enhance communication and coordination.
The district administration’s proactive approach ensures election staff can reach their destinations safely and punctually, underscoring its commitment to a well-coordinated and efficient transport service for the critical election day.
