BSF seizes 1,640 Yaba tablets, 1.5 kg cannabis from near Bhanga, 1 peddler nabbed

Jan. 28: Acting on specific inputs, troops of 1 Bn BSF intercepted a Maruti Wagon R Car bearing Regn No. AS – 10 B 1350 at Nandapur tri-junction on NH-37, near Bhanga in Karimganj district on Friday afternoon. On searching the vehicle, 1,640 suspected Yaba tablets and 1.5 kg cannabis were found. BSF troops informed the local police about the incident.

Immediately, OC Badarpur sent police forces to the spot. One person was apprehended during the raid. The nabbed drugs peddler was identified as Abdul Sukkur (38), S/O. Late Abdus Salam Sodiol, an inhabitant of village Deorail in Badarpur.
