Dholai Co- District to observe 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Patel on Nov 13

way2barak, November 11:– The District Administration Cachar, in association with the Co-District Administration, Dholai, is all set to observe the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, on November 13, 2025, with a grand “Unity March Sardar@150.

 

The event, to be held under the aegis of the District Administration Cachar, will commence from BNMP School Field, Dholai, at 8:00 AM onwards, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students of various educational institutions, officials of line departments, and members of the local community. The programme aims to honour the monumental contributions of Sardar Patel in shaping a united India and to inspire the values of togetherness, patriotism, and civic responsibility among citizens, especially the youth.

 

Speaking about the initiative, Co-District Commissioner of Dholai, Shri Roktim Baruah, said, “The 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel offers us an opportunity to remember his enduring legacy of national integration. This march is not merely a ceremonial event but a reflection of our collective spirit of unity and commitment to the nation’s ideals. We want today’s generation to imbibe Sardar Patel’s determination, discipline, and devotion to India’s unity.”

 

The “Sardar@150” Unity March will feature students, teachers, officials, and community members walking in unison with banners and placards portraying messages of national integrity and social harmony.

 

Officials from the District Administration Cachar stated that the initiative forms part of the government’s broader commitment to fostering civic engagement and patriotic awareness through participatory events. The administration envisions the march as a symbol of unity that strengthens the bond between citizens and the nation.
