Assam University to Host Two-Week ICSSR-Sponsored Capacity Building Programme

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৫ নভেম্বর : তরুণ শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাদের জন্য ভারতীয় সমাজবিজ্ঞান গবেষণা পরিষদের পৃষ্ঠপোষকতায় আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে দু’সপ্তাহের ক্যাপাসিটি বিল্ডিং প্রোগ্রাম আয়োজিত হবে। এই কর্মসূচি আগামী বছরের ১৯ জানুয়ারি থেকে ৩০ জানুয়ারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিজনেস অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশন বিভাগে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। অর্থনীতি, ম্যানেজমেন্ট, কমার্স, সমাজতত্ত্ব সহ বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে যুক্ত প্রভাষক, সহকারী অধ্যাপক ও তরুণ শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাদের অ্যাকাডেমিক ও গবেষণা দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যেই এই কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে। ১২ দিনের এই কর্মসূচিতে রিসোর্স পার্সন হিসেবে অংশ নেবেন দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তের বিশিষ্ট অধ্যাপকরা।

পাঠ্যসূচিতে অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকবে উন্নত গবেষণা প্রণালী, তথ্য বিশ্লেষণ পদ্ধতি, অ্যাকাডেমিক লেখালেখি, গবেষণা প্রকাশনার প্রক্রিয়া, এবং গবেষণা নীতিশাস্ত্রের গুরুত্ব। বিজনেস অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশন বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক তথা কর্মসূচির অন্যতম সমন্বয়কারী ড. দীপজ্যোতি চৌধুরী বলেছেন, এই উদ্যোগের লক্ষ্য হলো আগামী প্রজন্মের সমাজবিজ্ঞান গবেষকদের উচ্চমানের ও প্রভাবশালী গবেষণায় সক্ষম করে তোলা। এই কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নিতে কোনও রেজিস্ট্রেশন ফি লাগবে না। ইচ্ছুক প্রার্থীদের এ বছরের ৩১ ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যে নির্ধারিত গুগল ফর্মের মাধ্যমে তাঁদের আবেদন ও সংশ্লিষ্ট নথির স্ক্যান কপি জমা দিতে হবে। নির্বাচিত প্রার্থীদের তালিকা ৫ জানুয়ারি ইমেলের মাধ্যমে জানানো হবে।

Way2barak, November 15 : Assam University, Silchar has announced a comprehensive two-week Capacity Building Programme for young faculty members, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The intensive two-week programme is scheduled to run from January 19 to January 30, 2026, and will be conducted in offline mode at the university’s Department of Business Administration.

The CBP is designed to enhance academic and research excellence for lecturers, assistant professors, and young faculty members from disciplines such as Economics, Management, Commerce, and Sociology. Over the course of 12 days, participants will engage in sessions led by eminent scholars from across India, covering a wide range of essential topics.

The curriculum will delve into advanced research methodologies, data analysis techniques, academic writing, the intricacies of the publication process, and the critical importance of research ethics.

“There is a growing need to equip young faculty with the latest research tools and ethical frameworks,” said Dr. Deepjyoti Choudhury, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Administration and one of the programme coordinators. “This initiative aims to empower the next generation of social scientists to produce high-quality, impactful research.”

Eligibility for the programme is extended to young faculty and researchers working in social sciences at UGC-recognized universities and institutes across India. In a bid to encourage wide participation, there is no registration fee for selected candidates.

Interested and eligible faculty members must submit their applications through a designated Google Form, along with scanned copies of their supporting documents, by December 31, 2025. The list of selected participants will be announced via email on January 5, 2026.
