Assam University Launches ‘Krishi Bikash’ Mobile App for Farmers
কৃষকদের জন্য ‘কৃষি বিকাশ’ মোবাইল অ্যাপ চালু করল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১১ এপ্রিল : কৃষি উন্নয়নে প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার আরও সহজলভ্য করতে ‘কৃষি বিকাশ – বরাক ভ্যালি’ নামে একটি নতুন মোবাইল অ্যাপ চালু করা হয়েছে। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি দফতরের অর্থায়নে এবং আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সহযোগিতায় এই অ্যাপটি তৈরি করা হয়েছে। এই বহুভাষিক ও ভয়েস-সক্ষম কৃষি অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে কৃষক ও আগ্রহী ব্যবহারকারীরা সহজেই কৃষি সংক্রান্ত পরামর্শ, ফসল সম্পর্কিত তথ্য ও উন্নত আবহাওয়ার পূর্বাভাস পেতে পারবেন।

অ্যাপটির প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলির মধ্যে রয়েছে— ফসলভিত্তিক আধুনিক কৃষি পরামর্শ, মাটির স্বাস্থ্য, সার প্রয়োগ ও চাষাবাদের নির্দেশিকা, অগ্রিম আবহাওয়ার পূর্বাভাস ও সতর্কবার্তা, পোকামাকড় ও রোগ শনাক্তকরণ এবং তার প্রতিকার সম্পর্কিত তথ্য। এছাড়াও স্থানীয় ভাষায় ভয়েস সহায়তা, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কৃষি আপডেট ও নোটিফিকেশন এবং বরাক নদী অববাহিকা অঞ্চলের জন্য বিশেষ কৃষি তথ্য এতে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। গুগল প্লে স্টোরে গিয়ে এই এপ ডাউনলোড করা যাবে। ডাউনলোডের লিংক : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.auskv

কম দামের স্মার্টফোন ও ধীরগতির ইন্টারনেট সংযোগেও যাতে অ্যাপটি নির্বিঘ্নে ব্যবহার করা যায়, সেই বিষয়টি মাথায় রেখে এটি তৈরি করা হয়েছে।এই অ্যাপ ব্যবহারের জন্য সর্বস্তরের কৃষকদের প্রতি আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন প্রকল্পটির প্রধান আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক ড. সোমনাথ মুখোপাধ্যায়। তিনি আরও জানান, ব্যবহারকারীদের মতামত ও পরামর্শের ভিত্তিতে ভবিষ্যতে অ্যাপটির আরও উন্নয়ন করা হবে। এরমাধ্যমে বরাক নদী অববাহিকার কৃষি সম্প্রদায় আরও বেশি উপকৃত হতে পারেন বলেও তিনি আশা প্রকাশ করেছেন।

Way2barak, April 11 : In a bid to make the use of technology in agriculture more accessible, Assam University has launched a new mobile application titled “Krishi Bikash – Barak Valley.” The app has been developed with funding from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with Assam University.This multilingual and voice-enabled agricultural app is designed to provide farmers and interested users with easy access to agricultural advice, crop-related information, and advanced weather forecasts.

Key features of the app include crop-specific modern farming guidance, soil health management, fertilizer application and cultivation practices, advance weather forecasts and alerts, pest and disease identification along with remedial measures. It also offers voice assistance in local languages, important agricultural updates and notifications, and region-specific information tailored to the Barak River Basin. Developed with accessibility in mind, the app is optimized to function smoothly even on low-cost smartphones and slow internet connections. Dr. Somnath Mukhopadhyay, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Assam University and the PI of the project, has urged farmers from all sections to make use of the app. He further stated that the application will be continuously improved based on user feedback and suggestions. He expressed hope that the initiative will significantly benefit the agricultural community in the Barak River Basin region.
