Assam registers 36th death due to COVID-19 on Saturday

July 11: The COVID-19 scenario in the state has gradually become somewhat scary with the number of deaths rising since the last few days. On Saturday, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet expressed sorrow to inform that one Nripen Debnath (55), a COVID-19 patient with history of kidney ailment, who came incubated & ventilated, and was admitted in Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) ICU, passed away early in the morning on 11 July, 2020. With this, the COVID-19 death tally of Assam has gone upto 36.
