Assam Govt sets up help desk for its inhabitants struck in Ukraine, asks to fill up Google Form

Feb. 26: Many Indian citizens are now struck in Ukraine in the midst of the ongoing war against Russia. India Government is striving hard to evacuate its citizens. Union Minister Piyush Goyal received the first batch of home-bound Indians from Ukraine, as the first evacuation flight of Air India,  AIC 1944 touched down at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai at 7.50 this evening. The aircraft, which had taken off from the Henri Coanda International Airport, Bucharest, Romania this afternoon, brought home 219 passengers, mostly students from India.

Two students of Assam Tanmayee & Siya were successfully evacuated from Ukraine by the Indian government on Saturday. They reached Mumbai in the night. The officials of Assam Bhawan in Mumbai received them in the night. Taking to his twitter handle, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “We welcome our students- Tanmayee & Siya, successfully evacuated from Ukraine and who have reached Mumbai just now. Received by our Assam Bhawan official. We are making all arrangements for their stay & free travel to Guwahati. Our teams will ensure all assistance to such students.”

“We are always there. Assam Bhawans, Delhi & Mumbai, are working overtime, with hotels & free ticket for evacuated students. Pl contact our officers at 9930562333/ 80116 85010,” wrote the Chief Minister in another tweet during the day.

Meanwhile, Assam Government is trying to take information via Goggle Form of its citizens who are stranded in Ukraine. The state govt in Google Form wrote, “Please fill up the form if you are in Ukraine and would like assistance from Assam Government.” Here is the link of the Google Form.
