Around 74,000 quarantined in Assam to be released on 9 April after test
April 6: In a press conference, Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that April 9 will be a very significant day for Assam as on that day all the Deputy Commissioner’s have been asked to give reports on the persons quarantined in their respective districts. Those quarantined, who have no symptoms of COVID-19 will be released on 9 April.
However, those having fever or any other symptoms of COVID-19 will be tested again and will also be released, if their reports comes out to be negative. He said that if everything goes on well, then on 9 April, 2020, around 74,000 people kept in quarantined in different districts of Assam will be released.
