Another Covid-19 +ve patient from Silchar die at SMCH in last 24 hours
17 patients in oxygen support, none in ventilator at SMCH
Sept 3: The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 2 September to 5 PM on 3 September) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as:
- Motilal Goswami (79) from Sarat Pally, near Sonai Road in Silchar was admitted at SMCH on 30 August, 2021. He, however, breathed his last at 5.40 PM on 2 September, 2021.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 3 September, there were 26 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support and 17 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 06 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
