1670 patients discharged in Assam on Sunday

Sept. 27: On Sunday, 1670 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,39,977 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from across the state. At present, there are 29,350 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1670 patients discharged today. Today, our discharged patients’ count is almost double to that of new patients added. Good job team doctors.”

After couple of months, the number of positive cases have come below the 1000-mark in Assam. On Sunday, out of 15,347 tests only 875 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of noble coronavirus has now gone upto 1,69,985. Further, during the day, 17 more persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 566.
