Narrating the incident, the victim, Mollika Ghosh said, “On Monday at around 7 PM, I was walking through the street of Shyamananda Ashram Lane (in Public School Road). Suddenly, 2 bike borne miscreants came near me and before I could understand anything, the pillion rider snatched away the gold chain from my neck and fled away from the spot at a great speed. Infact, when the pillion rider snatched the chain from my neck, the bike rider pushed me with one hand. I at once fell on the ground.”
She then raised a hue and cry, but by that time the miscreants disappeared from the spot. Passers by and shopkeepers from the vicinity rushed hearing her screams. They tried to locate the bike borne miscreants but in vain.
