2,375 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Saturday, 2,524 discharged & 28 deaths registered
There are 23,737 active Covid cases in Assam
July 3: On Saturday, out of 1,34,085 tests, 2,375 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,15,981. The positivity rate in the state is 1.77 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 168 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 28 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,632. The recovery rate is 94.19 percent.
It needs mention here that on Friday, 2,453 persons tested positive in Assam and 27 deaths were registered.
On Saturday, 2,524 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,86,265 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 94.24 percent. At present, there are 23,737 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 28 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 28 deceased, 03 each are from Charaideo, Jorhat & Nagaon; 02 each from Lakhimpur & Morigaon; 01 each from Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Darrang, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Karimganj, Kokhrajhar, Sivasagar & Sonitpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,632.
