3,666 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 5,241 discharged & 29 deaths registered

June 10: On Friday, out of 1,69,528 tests, 3,666 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,53,867. The positivity rate in the state is 2.16 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 341 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 29 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,873. The recovery rate is 88.83 percent.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 3,756 persons tested positive in Assam and 51 deaths were registered.

On Friday, 5,241 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,03,170 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 88.83 percent.  At present, there are 45,477 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 29 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 29 deceased, 04 are from Cachar; 03 from Baksa; 02 each from Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Hojai, Kamrup Rural, Morigaon, Sonitpur & Tinsukia; 01 each from Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Golaghat, Kamrup metro, Karbi Anglong, Kokhrajhar, Nalbari & Sivasagar. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,873.
