With 56 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 317 on 2 June, 4 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 3,003 in Cachar, 642 discharged on Wednesday
June 2: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.00 PM. As per the latest data, 56 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 317 persons were found positive in the district on 2 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 261 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 3,003. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Wednesday night. Also, 642 patients were discharged after getting cured during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 402 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 6,647 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 261 persons were found positive, whereas 56 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases in 2021 reached 10,981 in 2021, whereas during the year, 7,871 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 3,003 active patients:
- 309 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 09 at MH
- 47 at SMDCH
- 42 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 07 at CRPF Doyapur
- 20 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 31 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 14 at Valley Hospital
- 17 at South City Hospital
- 16 at Nightingale Hospital
- 03 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 27 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,461 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 1 June to 5 PM on 2 June) witnessed demise of 04 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 04 deceased, 02 are from Cachar district, 01 each from Karimganj & Hailakandi.
The deceased were identified as: Promesh Paul (65) from Bazaricherra in Karmimganj, Renu Bala Chanda (81) from Nagar Tea Estate in Cachar, Saffique Uddin Barbhuiya (45) from Gossainpur in Cachar and Rumi Akhtar Laskar (22) from Lalamukh in Hailakandi district.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 2 June, there were 307 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 96 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 211 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 31 patients were put under ventilator support and 117 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 45 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 56 of them were discharged. Further, 48 of them have opted for home isolation.
