India reports 4,12,262 new Covid cases, 3,29,113 discharges & 3,980 deaths in last 24 hours

May 6: It was a scary day as India recorded 4,12,262 new coronavirus cases, the highest ever single day rise for any country since the outbreak of the pandemic. Also, 3,980 deaths due to Covid-19 were also reported in the country in the last 24 hours. However, on the flip side, 3,29,113 Covid patients were discharged after getting cured.

With this, the total number of cases in the country reached 2,10,77,410. The total recovery figure also went up to 1,72,80,844. Further, India recorded a death toll of 2,30,168 Covid patients. At present, there are 35,66,398 active cases in the country. Till Thursday, 16,25,13,339 persons were vaccinated in India.
