Assam has been allotted 5 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine
April 30: In the “Other than Government of India channel”, Assam has been allotted 5 lakh doses of Covid-19 Vaccines. This was informed in a letter addressed to the Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Govt of Assam by the Additional Secretary, MoHFW, Government.
Reacting on this, State Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that 3,71,480 doses of Covishield and 1,28,830 doses of Covaxin as allotted by the Union government will be procured by Assam through funds of Assam Arogya Nidhi. The vaccines will be administered free for all citizens above 18 years.
