With 20 active cases, Jorhat admin clamps Sec 144 CrPC
Instruction issued to ensure strict enforcement of Sec 144 & Covid-19 guidelines
April 6: The Deputy Commissioner of Jorhat has stated in a tweet that at present there are 20 active COVID-19 positive cases in the district. Six new people were tested positive to COVID-19 on Monday. As a precautionary measure, the Jorhat district administration imposed prohibitory orders section 144 CrPC on Monday. All district magistrates and police officials have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of Section 144 and Covid-19 guidelines and protocol. In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Jorhat, wearing masks, using hand sanitizers, or washing hands with soap were made mandatory by the administration.
