AGM of Holy Cross Alumni held: New President Nilotpol, G.S. Gaurav

November 25: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Holy Cross School Alumni Association, Silchar was held in the school premises on 25 November 2018. The AGM presided over by Sr. Caron, Principal of the School cum Chairman of the Alumni Association was attended by the former student members of the association.

After the formal welcome address, the transaction of the AGM began with General Secretary Sunil Mohta presenting his report of the activities done during the last tenure. Promod Sipani, in the capacity of the Treasurer tabled the accounts before the house. Both the report of the Secretary and the accounts was unanimously passed by the house. After much deliberation, the constitution of the Alumni Association was also adopted.

The President of the AGM then dissolved the earlier committee and new office bearers were selected. Nilotpol Sengupta was unanimously selected as the President for the second term, whereas Gaurav Pal became the new General Secretary. Dr.Sidhhartha Bhattacharjee and Sumita Som were selected as the Vice Presidents. The post of Treasurer went to Sunil Mohta. Sudarshan Gupta and Nabarun Chakraborty were unanimously selected as Joint Secretaries. For the post of PRO, Mehdi Hassan was nominated. The new Executive Committee will have a term of two years.

Apart from this, 15 other executive members were also nominated. An Advisory Board consisting of 5 senior alumni members was formed to guide the association.  Various other important issues related to the alumni association were also discussed.The newly formed body assured to work for the benefit and all-round development of their Alma-mater.
