PM Modi to chair all-party meet on Friday to discuss Covid-19 situation

Nov. 30: Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Centre has called for an all-party meeting to be held on 4 December, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Floor leaders of all parties from both houses of parliament have been called for the meeting, which will be held virtually on Friday at 10.30 am.

This is the second all-party meeting called by the government on coronavirus, which has affected over 94 lakh people across India, since the beginning of the pandemic. The meeting also assumes significance as it is being held after Modi’s visit to pharmaceutical companies in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Pune to review coronavirus vaccine development work there.
