3 new corona cases detected; tally rises to 3,201 in Hailakandi

11 Oct: 3 fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam’s Hailakandi district on Sunday, taking the total tally to 3,201. Health authorities here disclosed that of the three positive cases, one has been detected under the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). Altogether 126 swab samples were taken on Sunday out of which 14 are under RT-PCR and 112 under RAT.
Altogether 1,862 cases have been found positive under RAT with over 50 per cent without travel history. 3,099 persons on being cured have been released from hospitals.The number of active cases is 83. Eight COVID-19 positive patients have breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 11 deaths at SMC&H have been declared as ‘non-COVID’ by the State level Death Audit Board.
52 COVID-19 asymptomatic persons are under home isolation. Of the 27,006 RT-PCR samples taken, 24,548 have tested negative. Swab results of 239 persons are awaited. Altogether 88,781 swab samples were taken out of which 27,020 are under RT-PCR and 61,761 under RAT.
