2464 patients discharged in Assam on Wednesday
Sept. 16: On Wdnesday, 2464 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,19,364 COVID-19 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres across the state. At present, there are 29,091 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2464 patients discharged today Happy that 80% of our patients have won the battle against #COVID19 & have been sent back to their homes.”
Also, 2394 persons tested COVID-19 positive during the day. With this, a total of 1,48,968 persons were detected positive in the state as of now. During the last 24 hours, 32,478 tests were done. Further, 19 more persons died due to COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 511.
