3,555 new COVID-19 cases in Assam on Wednesday, tally rises to 1,15,279
Active cases 28,061 in Assam
September 2: On Wednesday, 3,555 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected from across Assam. With this, the state tally has now gone upto 1,15,279, out of which, 28,061 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 3555 #COVID cases detected today out of 47744 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 7.44% Kamrup M- 924; Nagaon- 236; Dibrugarh- 213; Baksa- 200.”
Further, Assam also registered 8 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 323.
